Oral Cancer

How many of us are doing an oral cancer screening on our patients at least one time per year? I personally thought that when I graduated from school I would not have time to include this into my one hour appointment. Yet, once I got into my groove I found that taking 60 seconds for a cancer screening was easy to fit in. I personally preform them on EVERY patient, including children, every 6 months. I ALWAYS inform my patient that I am going to do a cancer screening to make sure their tissues are staying healthy. So lets get to it and make oral cancer screenings a priority.
